Can any other test substitute for the Graduate Record Examination (GRE)?
No. You must take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). No other test scores are acceptable. These scores may not be more than five years old.
If I take the GRE after the deadline (March 1st Summer, April 1st Fall, October 1st Spring), will I be considered?
I have some courses in progress (example Biochemistry) and these courses will be completed after the application deadline. Can I still apply?
You can still apply and you will be considered with courses in progress, even if your degree has yet to be conferred. We strongly recommend that you should have most of the pre-requisite courses successfully completed by the deadline of the admission cycle you are applying for.
What if I get accepted while the courses are in progress?
Your acceptance is provisional and is contingent upon your successful passing each pre-requisite course.
What type of letters of recommendation should be submitted?
Two letters from instructors who can testify to your characteristics, integrity, application, and aptitude in science. The third letter can be from a supervisor if you have been in the work world or volunteering at an organization.
Where the letters of recommendation should be sent?
The letters of recommendation can be uploaded to the application or send to Office of Graduate Programs firstname.lastname@example.org.
When does the review of applications usually begin?
Applications for each admission cycle (March 1st summer, April 1st Fall, October 1st Spring) is reviewed one week after the deadline.
If I only attended Florida Atlantic University do I need to submit my official transcripts for my application?
