In January 2006, the University of Miami, Florida Atlantic University, and Boca Raton Community Hospital signed an Academic Affiliation Agreement that defines each partner’s programmatic and financial responsibilities for undergraduate and graduate medical education. Copies of the Affiliation Agreement are available through the Florida Atlantic University Board of Trustees website. The agreement establishes an Affiliation Committee which has ultimate responsibility for assuring that the provisions of the Academic Affiliation Agreement are implemented. The University of Miami, Florida Atlantic University and Boca Raton Community Hospital each have three appointees to the committee. The Regional Medical Campus Dean also serves on the committee. The committee is chaired by the Dean of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine or his/her designee. The Affiliation Committee members are as follows:

The Affiliation Committee is charged with adopting a Strategic Plan for the regional medical campus. A subcommittee comprised of representatives of the University of Miami, Florida Atlantic University, and Boca Raton Community Hospital has been formed to draft the Strategic Plan. The Strategic Plan is scheduled to be presented to the Affiliation Committee for action on January 30, 2007.
