Clinical Partners

Palm Beach County private practices: M.D. program activities include weekly visits to area practices where students are supervised by community physicians.

Palm Beach County Department of Health : M.D. program activities occur at the Delray Beach and West Palm Beach clinics, and include a weekly visit under the supervision of Regional Campus faculty.

Boca Raton Community Hospital: As the primary teaching hospital for the Regional Campus, plans are underway to build a 550-bed hospital on the FAU campus. The anticipated opening date is in 2011-2012. Both M.D. program and residency are planned to occur here.

JFK Medical Center: Plans are under way to accept residents in 2008 in the new University of Miami Palm Beach County Internal Medicine Residency Program

West Palm Beach V.A. Medical Center: Plans are under way to accept residents in 2008 in the new University of Miami Palm Beach County Internal Medicine Residency Program

Bethesda Memorial Hospital:This 390 bed facility in Boynton Beach, Florida, is being evaluated for potential residency programs.

Caridad Clinic:Clinical experiences at this facility are offered as volunteer extra-curricular experiences. The clinic serves migrant workers, indigent and under-served residents of Palm Beach County, provides students with an invaluable exposure to a group of patients that they are less likely to encounter during their other clinical experiences in private physician's offices or in the inpatient setting in some Palm Beach County hospitals.
