Message from the Director

James Galvin, MD, MBAEach person is unique, and yet, the way we approach individuals with concerns about their brain health and memory is often a “one-size-fits-all” approach. Doing so fails to take into account an individual’s medical history, life experiences, lifestyle, belief systems, and cultural background. The Comprehensive Center for Brain Health (CCBH) was created to change this, providing a personalized approach to brain aging and the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of common age-related neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Lewy body dementia, frontotemporal degeneration, vascular cognitive impairment, and Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE).

Our Center uses a transdisciplinary approach in clinical care and research combining the best practices of neurology, gerontology, nursing, social work, psychotherapy, integrative nutrition, mindfulness, physical therapy, falls prevention, public health, epidemiology, and biostatistics. CCBH prides itself on dedication to our underlying foundational pillars

  • World Class Clinical Care
  • Cutting Edge Research
  • Exceptional Training Opportunities
  • Innovative Educational Programs
  • Community Outreach

As you explore our website, take time to review the many clinical, research, and educational programs we provide. If you are concerned about your memory or that of a loved one, the Comprehensive Center for Brain Health can address your concerns and provide the answers for questions you may have. We offer innovative research programs including longitudinal studies, industry-sponsored clinical trials, investigator-initiated interventions, biomarker development, genetic studies, and much more. We sponsor community seminars to provide important information on the latest trends in clinical care and research advances. You can become part of the CCBH family by joining our auxiliary.

I look forward to having the opportunity to meet you at one of our events.

Warm regards,

James E. Galvin, M.D., M.P.H.
