James E. Galvin, M.D., M.P.H., is Professor of Integrated Medical Sciences and Associate Dean for Clinical Research at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine. He is also Professor of Nursing at the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing and Director of the Leon and Toby Cooperman Center for Alzheimer Disease and Memory Disorders at the Marcus Neuroscience Institute, Boca Raton Regional Hospital. He is taking the lead in developing a University-wide clinical translational research program to translate clinical, behavioral and social research from individual and population level projects into innovative programs and practices that address health for individuals from all ethnic and racial backgrounds, reduce health disparities, and improve health outcomes.
