A pediatric surgeon, Dr. Ross has served three university based medical schools as a campus executive or dean. These experiences have included both private and public universities. As a result of his extensive experience in medical school administration, he has been selected as a leader of several national professional and accrediting organizations. He is past chair of the Governing Council for the American Medical Association Section on Medical Schools, the current chair of the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) and a peer elected member of the Administrative Board of the Council of Deans, Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC).
