For Palm Beach County Middle School Students

Healthcare Careers Outreach Program

hcopWe have partnered with the Palm Beach County School District to offer the Healthcare Careers Outreach Program (HCOP). Participating schools include Roosevelt Middle School and Lake Worth Middle School. A limited HCOP model also exists at Palm Beach Gardens High School and Lake Worth High School.  In HCOP, middle school students are provided with enhanced learning opportunities.  FAU COM medical students provide classroom learning on biomedical sciences and hands-on learning at the FAU Simulation Center and anatomy labs. 

For High School Seniors Interested in Medicine

Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU)-Florida Atlantic University Medical Scholars Program: Enhancing Medicine Through Diversity

This is an 8-year Bachelor of Science-Medical Doctor dual-degree program for outstanding high school seniors who have made an early and informed decision to become a physician.  Students admitted to this program spend their undergraduate years at FAMU, participate in a specially tailored Medical Scholars Program curriculum, and receive conditional acceptance to the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine.
