General Surgery Resident Salary and Benefits

2022-2023 Resident Salaries

  • Post Graduate Year 1 - $54,600
  • Post Graduate Year 2 - $56,400
  • Post Graduate Year 3 - $58,300
  • Post Graduate Year 4 - $60,400
  • Post Graduate Year 5 - $62,200

Resident Core Benefits

  • Educational stipend (books, etc.) of $400 per year
  • Training licensure stipend of $200 (PGY1)
  • 3 weeks paid vacation and up to one week of educational leave in accordance with program policies
  • Life, Disability, and Malpractice Insurance covered by Florida Atlantic University
