The FAU High School MD Direct Program is a highly selective, collaborative program with the FAU Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine for students who have a strong desire to pursue a career in medicine. Admitted students earn a B.A. or B.S. degree from FAU , an approved 2-year M.S. degree from FAU , and the M.D. degree from FAU’s College of Medicine (FAUCOM) in Boca Raton in seven or eight years. The College of Science and the College of Engineering and Computer Science may provide teaching or research assistantships to FAUHS MD Direct students during enrollment in their master's programs, which includes a partial tuition waiver.
Admission is open to highly qualified FAU High School seniors, with preferential consideration given to National Merit Finalists and Scholars. Those accepted into the FAU High School MD Direct Program are offered conditional admission* to the FAUCOM.
