Welcome to the Cardiovascular Fellowship Program at Florida Atlantic University!
We are very proud of our three-year Cardiovascular Disease fellowship training program which began in 2018, and is emerging into a robust educational, clinical, and research program under the supervision of dedicated and highly skilled clinician-educations who are deeply committed to teaching. Our goal is to develop future academic leaders in cardiology through a rigorous program fulfilling the eligibility requirements set forth by ACGME, tailored to meet our trainees’ unique interests. As a fellow in this program, you will enjoy a diverse, humanistic, and patient-centered experience, using state-of-the-art technology and cutting-edge research.
We have also created an extensive didactic program, with comprehensive lecture series on core cardiology topics. Our regular conferences include Morning Report, EKG rounds, ECHO, Interventional Cardiology, Cardio-Oncology, CT, Board Review, Grand Rounds and Journal Club.
Our program works to foster an environment of collaboration and research, which enables our graduates to critically appraise the available evidence and keep abreast of advances in an ever-changing environment of cardiovascular medicine. Our ultimate goal is to equip our graduates with the necessary skills in business and systems management, health care finance and politics, and leadership. Career guidance and mentoring begins from the onset of training, as we recognize how soon fellows face the next phase of decision-making.
Cardiology is a rewarding career and it is my privilege to act as Program Director. My goal is to be an enlightened leader, to aid in grooming talented early-career cardiologists and grow the diversity in our cardiology division.
I welcome your interest in our program and encourage you to consider FAU during your search for strong cardiovascular disease fellowships. If you have any questions about our fellowship program, please do not hesitate to contact me or our current fellows. We look forward to reviewing your application to our program and meeting you soon!
